In Typography 1, I designed a variety of Typographic compositions based on "The Black Experience in Design: identity, Expression and Reflection". The goal was to create a clear sense of typographic hierarchy by reordering the information given in a logical and impactful way. I kept design principles in mind while making these concepts including cropping, scale, and negative space.
Throughout the process we experimented with exercises involving hierarchy, type sizes, weights, Thresholds, placement. Later on we started experimenting with combing type and imagery, and exploring ways integrate them without losing the viewers attention.
